Ph.D. in Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology
Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology at Olin business school, Washington University in St. Louis, co-advised by Professor Fuqiang Zhang and Professor Xiang Hui. My research explores the intersection of Empirical Operations Management, Artificial Intelligence Applications, and Platform Service Operations. I am currently on the 2025–2026 job market. I welcome conversations about research, teaching, and collaboration opportunities.
My work examines how technology reshapes service operations, with a focus on Algorithmic/AI Management, AI Decision Support, and Incentive Design. Using Field Experiments, Causal Inference, Machine Learning, and Contract Theory, I study how platforms balance efficiency with consumer experience, design incentive systems for gig work, and integrate AI into judgment-intensive tasks.
From 2022 to 2023, I took a full-time industry leave to work on-site at Alibaba as a Research Scientist. I collaborated on field experiments and provided research-based insights that directly shaped multiple chapters of my dissertation.
