Ph.D. in Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology
Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology at Olin business school, Washington University in St. Louis. I am co-advised by Professor Fuqiang Zhang and Professor Xiang Hui. My research explores the intersection of Empirical Operations Management, Artificial Intelligence Applications, and Platform Service Operations, with a focus on integrating new technology tools into service environments. I am currently on the 2025–2026 job market. I welcome conversations about research, teaching, and collaboration opportunities.
My research examines how technology reshapes service operations, with a particular focus on algorithmic control, AI applications, and incentive design. Current projects include:
Algorithm-controlled Gig vs. Human-controlled Traditional customer support through large-scale field experiments
Agent behavior and incentive alignment under algorithmic compensation schemes
Generative AI’s integration in e-commerce dispute resolution
From 2022 to 2023, I took a full-time industry leave to work on-site at Alibaba as a Research Scientist. I collaborated on field experiments and provided research-based insights that directly shaped multiple chapters of my dissertation.
